I’ve been lucky enough, over the last 10 years or so, to visit some truly incredible places.

In fact, I’ve been dreaming about travel for as long as I can remember. As a little girl, I remember playing for hours with my doll, daydreaming about a life somewhere exotic and far from home. My two locations of preference were Northern Norway and – for some reason – Somalia, and while life hasn’t yet allowed me to visit the first, and has destroyed the romantic image of the second, it’s also allowed me to visit some other incredible places I never even dared to dream about all those years ago.

Over the course of my travels I’ve built up so many memories, and such a large photo collection, that I have started to think it all needs to go somewhere. It’s probably too late for past trips, although I’ll try and share some photos and anecdotes anyway. But the aim of this blog is for me to save my memories of future trips, and hopefully share them with interested friends and family. It’s also a means for me to use my writing skills for something more exciting than an office email!

Hi! I’m Jill, and I’m a British blogger who has been travelling for more than 15 years, visiting 65 countries on 6 continents. I love to travel both solo and with groups, and to discover the cultures and peoples of the countries I visit. And I love to share a good story or two along the way!
